Diggin' in Virginia V - Day 1 Part 1

It's day one of the hunt and hundreds of acres await all of the eager hunters. After an early morning meeting at the main tent, we are set free to go out and retrieve relics from the Civil War. The countryside was beautiful, and the weather was perfect It just doesn't get much more fun than this!

really not trying to be mean man but the way you dig I am surprised you do not hit every thing you dig. be careful you can never put a button back together.
 
no problem. thanks for the comment. i am careful to dig my holes a good bit outside of the pinpointed area and deeper than the signal sounds. i did hit a coin once - about 7 years ago - an old standing liberty quarter. since then i have been much more cautious. of course, the excitement, and ground conditions(really rocky and dry at DIV) can change things. luckily, no relics were harmed in the filming of DIV 5!
